There are limited places and only a minimal amount of participants from each town, an exploratory call (or being in touch via whatsapp or email) is needed before applying.
Our comprehensive course will be taught by Tsippy Kraus. She will provide you with a wealth of knowledge and skills as well as customized, hands-on course materials, so you are fully equipped to prepare your couples for labour and birth.
We’ll explore a range of topics and techniques - delving into each subject in depth- to give you confidence in every area of study, along with guidance in how to pare down the information to present it to your clients in a focused and relevant manner. Our ultimate goal is for you to feel confident when challenged and also fully capable of adapting the material to suit your clients’ needs.

Weekly short video clips covering key topics for you to watch in your own time, followed by a development task.
Weekly 1.5-2 hour live Zoom session for in-depth discussion and exploration of that weeks' key topics
To review and develop your lesson plan and business plan.
We ensure that all participants are prepared to start teaching as soon as they have received their certification.
Following these 10 weeks of study you will be given the opportunity to create and submit your own childbirth education lesson plan plus recorded video of yourself teaching the breathing techniques, and have it evaluated and approved. Upon successful submission and approval of your materials, you will receive your official Birth Journeys Teacher Training Certificate and be added to our Birth Journeys teacher database.
As an extra bonus, newly-qualified Birth Journeys childbirth educators are eligible to take part in 3 monthly group supervision sessions to support their continued growth and confidence, as a complementary service.
The course cost is commensurate with the small size group and limited spaces will be be offering to ensure personal attention and support. A restricted number of participants from each community (depending on size) will be accepted to join the course, to keep internal competition low.
Please note as a childbirth educator you can expect to be able to charge between $300 - $500 per client in a group setting, depending on your location, and significantly more for private sessions. You can quickly make back your investment!
We are currently not accepting applicants from NW London and Stamford Hill.
